Hi! I am Kapaii Fortin, a graduate student at Boston College. I study economics and finance, but I am interested in more than markets in isolation. I am drawn to how systems interact; how economic incentives shape strategy, how discipline shapes performance, and how culture both reflects and reinforces the structures we live in.

I grew up in Québec, and have been based in the United States for the past 4 years. Moving between regions (and between academic, professional, and creative spaces) made it difficult to believe that outcomes are purely technical or purely personal. Markets, strategy, the body, and culture are all governed by constraints, trade-offs, and signals, even when we pretend otherwise.

This site is a collection of thoughts and essays across four areas: Markets, Strategy, Body, and Culture. Together, they form a thinking portfolio, a place to explore ideas with clarity, curiosity, and discipline, without reducing them to slogans or trends.
